Feedback from parents of SEND children who wished to engage with the offerings of community Playbox pop-ups described the fact that neurodivergent children often find child-led "free-play" overwhelming and prefer some guidance and instructions.
In response to this I designed some playful prompt sheets to accompany the existing play resources, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity using basic black and white diagrams and simple wording.
In addition, the designation of a "quiet space" with noise-reducing headphones and sensory resources are now prioritised at pop-ups where possible.
